We asked visitors to the site what makes a good burger in your opinion. The answers both surprised and intrigued us!
"Ratio of burger to bun" ... Each bite of burger must have both burger and bun!
"Quality of Meat" ... Burger lovers really care about their meat. Pressed patties should never be allowed to be used for a burger! And a burger is BEEF ... not sausage or anything else.
"Fresh Bread" ... Just because you still have it doesn't mean you should serve it ... if the bread is old, feed it to the birds and provide your customers with quality, fresh buns!
"Balance of Flavors" ... It all has to work together. And when someone in the kitchen doesn't pay attention and globs on some condiment in the wrong quantity, the burger loses its appeal. Some places do this with lettuce thinking a 4" tall burger is more appealing.
"Fresh Ingredients" ... Please don't put a green tomato that is as hard as my desk on my burger. That is one thing I will remember and tell my friends about your restaurant.
"Texture of the burger all together" ... Nobody wants a soggy bun. Why did you serve me a soggy bun anyway? Would you want to eat it? Don't serve anything you would not accept if you were the customer.
"Can it stand up?" ... Can the burger sit up on its own? Or when you pick it up, do all the ingredients begin to slide off the burger.
"How messy is it" ... A MESSY burger is not a JUICY burger. A messy burger means it was prepared by someone who doesn't have pride. There shouldn't be ketchup or mayonaise on the outside of the buns.
