Weezy’s Grassfed Shed is the closest burger joint to my house. They have almost all outdoor seating, so not too great for cold nights if you want to eat there. At Weezy’s they have 2 oz burgers, so unless you aren’t that hungry, more than one is necessary. It’s great for variety! They have a [...]

The hamburger, America’s national meal, has always been served during Independence Day cookouts and the competitive eating portion of presidential debates. Dine patriotically with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of burgers at Weezy’s Grass Fed Shed in San Rafael. The chefs at Weezy’s Grass Fed Shed enlist the aid of grass-fed beef [...]

Weezy’s is a salute to owner Louise Clow‘s childhood nickname. So it seems appropriate that this freestanding shop isn’t much bigger than a child’s playhouse, and the sliders it serves are well proportioned for a child’s hand, with just 2 ounces of meat per pop-in-your-mouth sandwich. Yet this is food fit for discerning adults. Beef is [...]

REVIEW: Special orders don’t upset us!

We were sitting around, trying to get up the gumption to make lunch. Unfortunately, I had woken up thinking of hamburgers. Worse, the local free weekly paper had a review of our little mini-burger shed, Weezy’s. It’s just a couple of blocks away from our house, and it’s tiny, so take-out is the order of [...]

There are plenty of restaurants in Marin that serve“slow food,” referring to meats, fruits, grains and vegetables that don’t come through massive commercial production lines. But few places attempt to use slow food in a quick service operation. Weezy’s Grass Fed Shed, open about six months in the Terra Linda neighborhood of San Rafael, attempts [...]

REVIEW: Great burgers and finally met Weezy!

We slid over to Weezy’s … for some of their slider-sized sandwiches made with Prather Ranch beef patties. I got aB-Rad ($3.00, $4.75 with fries) topped with Tillamook Cheddar and bacon and a “burger in a buttercup” ($2.50) in ‘wich butter lettuce replaced the bread. Read more and see the pictures!!
